Arrive in Amritsar, the spiritual capital of Punjab. Begin your journey with a visit to the Golden Temple (Harmandir Sahib), one of the holiest shrines in Sikhism. After darshan and langar, proceed to visit Durgiana Mandir, often referred to as the “Silver Temple” for its architecture resembling the Golden Temple. In the evening, attend the Wagah Border ceremony, a patriotic experience on the India–Pakistan border. Return to hotel for overnight stay in Amritsar.
After breakfast, drive towards Naina Devi Temple, one of the 51 Shakti Peethas where the eyes of Goddess Sati are believed to have fallen. En route, stop at Anandpur Sahib, a significant Sikh pilgrimage site. Reach Naina Devi, located on a hilltop, by ropeway or walk. Today, after breakfast, begin your drive to Katra, the base town for the revered Vaishno Devi Shrine. Enjoy the drive through the lush valleys and small hill towns of Himachal and Jammu. On arrival, check into the hotel. Rest overnight in Katra.
Early morning, begin your Vaishno Devi Yatra, a trek of around 14 km (or opt for helicopter/pony/palki service). Visit the three pindis representing Goddess Maha Kali, Maha Lakshmi, and Maha Saraswati. After darshan, also visit Bhairon Temple if time and energy allow. Return to hotel in Katra for overnight stay.
